Over three hundred family, friends, alumni, and fans turned out for the ceremony to pay tribute to these two Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame coaches. In attendance were Coach Litwack’s daughters Shelly and Lois, Coach Chaney, Director of Athletics Kevin Clark, President Dr. Neil Theobald, current Head Coach Fran Dunphy, Dawn Staley, and the largest gathering of former Temple basketball student-athletes to date, including Mark Macon, Rick Brunson, Aaron McKie, and John Baum.

The eight-foot tall bronze sculptures and the ten-foot graphically designed illustrative enhancement pillar wraps were created by world-renowned artist Brian Hanlon and Hanlon Sculpture Studio of Toms River, New Jersey. Hanlon is the Official Sculptor for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

“I am honored to pay tribute to these great Hall of Fame coaches,” said Hanlon. “Coach Litwack’s ability to bring Temple to the Final Four twice and Coach Chaney’s ability to change young men’s lives through basketball are extraordinary examples of Temple’s proud basketball history.”
