The USA Women’s 1999 World Cup Team was honored with a statue at the Rose Bowl where they claimed victory 20 years ago. This project by Hanlon Studio, is a reflection of the famous Penalty Kick by Brandi Chastain and the monumental celebration that followed. Relief panel of the team along with an over life size sculpture of Chastian sliding in the grass stands in front of the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Ca and is complemented with informational panels details the influence that the 1999 Women’s World Cup team had on the evolution of Women in Sports.
